After his internship from July 2015 to February 2016, Michael Oppermann continued his work in the Visual Computing Group at Harvard University this summer. He was involved in the restructuring process of Harvard's visualization course (CS171), which is one of the largest undergraduate courses about visualization worldwide. One of the major goals was to increase student engagement through implementing principles from active learning in the course design. Besides that, Michael worked on a web-based system to support the visual analysis of neuronal connectivity. The successful collaboration will be continued and Michael will work on this project within the Visualization and Data Analysis Research Group at the University of Vienna.
