Call: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) at the Faculty of Computer Science

We invite Computer Science Postdocs to apply for an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship with one of 4 supervisors at our faculty. The Marie-Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship is a post-doctoral research and training programme in which the post-doc (fellow) gains additional skills and abilities working on a specific research project in a new environment, while also transferring their knowledge within their new institution. Open to all fields of research, the fellowship is a well-defined, 2-year-career stage.

  • Research in the area of Entertainment Computing. This includes AI for computer games, automatic NPC steering behavior   generation, GANs for computer games (textures, faces), real-time physics simulation, game engine architecture and technologies (multithreading support with job systems, data oriented architectures, Entity Component Systems, lockless parallel data structures), machine learning for video compression and actor control. Application of computer games, serious games and storytelling, gamer experience and immersion, playful consumption experiences, games with an impact.

    Machine learning with a focus on probabilistic models:

  • Probabilistic models for combinatorial objects (mainly sets, but also graphs)
  • Variational approaches for generative models (e.g., variational autoencoders)
  • Active information acquisition and Bayesian experimental design
  • Exploration in reinforcement learning
  • Inverse reinforcement learning
